October 16, 2007 I want to thank everyone for your continued support during my rehabilitation. Your cards and e-mails were deeply appreciated and help to fill-in the long days here at JFK. To visit with parents and my students has been an uplifting experience for me. Thank you as well, to the many past graduates and band parents wishing me well. One of my day nurses is a 1977 graduate of our JFK Color Guard. She even brought in her year book for me to read. Every memory of the band, past and present has been an inspiration. Thank you! My doctors and therapists are pleased with my progress, although it will be a long road to full recovery. As you know, both of my legs are immobilized, however, today I was able to perform a short parade with my walker through the hospital - 120 feet! What kept me going was humming "The Horse". To my students, please continue to work hard during my absence and make yourselves proud! You are the best. Musically, If you would like to drop Mr. Hunt a note you can use this link.
